STF postcard no 3 -Picture of the Terrain, Söndrum
This felt like a hard nut to crack!
What to do?
I wrote to Söndrum’s society for local history and asked.
Rune Wahlbäck and Rolf Johansson answered fast.
“The picture shows, in all probability, Brodde’s cottage, it was Sven X:et Erixon’s weekend cottage for many years. Ragnar Albing wrote about the cottage in the society for lokal history’s book for 1988, page 40. The cottage was disturbed by fire for some years ago. The only that remains is the base. On the site there is another cottage, which now and then is visited by the present owner, Sverre Erixson, X:et’s son. The small cottage close to the main building was called Bojan’s cottage and there was many of Ingeborg Erixson’s poems written.”
Click here to the right and se/read some more about X:et’s cottage. (Sorry, in Swedish.)
