STF postcard no 29 – THE MANOR VALLEN
A day, just before Christmas 2013, Elisabeth and me was travelling to Falkenberg to visit my mother. That was the day before Elisabeth’s travel to Australia for se her first grandchild, Kaj, for the first time.
We drove on minor roads over the ridge Hallandsåsen up to Laholm. Turned right before Laholm and soon we saw the manor Vallen.
You can find some to read about the manor Vallen, as hanted house, but today it is most known as a manor for wedding. We passed the head entrace. Elisabeth didn’t like the asymmetry depending on that there only was a Christmas crown on the left door of the double door.
We where not dressed for “outdoor activity” but this is never a problem for Elisabeth, so we parked the car and entered the terrain. At this time we had the thesis “The fotographer always took the easiest way, 1927”. This seemed to be correct. We folloved a path where the photo, probably, had been taken.
