STF postcard no 10 -Nissan close to Halmstad
This view forsed me to think a lot.
In the background in the image you can se a framework bridge with two sections.
For a long time I looked for pictures with two sections framework bridges leading over Nissan.
The old railway bridge in Halmstad looked like a ”box” but at Rydöbruk there was, until 2012, a bridge with two sections. But was this ”close to Halmstad”?
Then suddenly, I got my eyes on a postcard from the beginning of the 1900’s, showing a framework bridge with two sections and the title was ”The railway bridge in Halmstad”.
Where could this had been located? Searched for it for a long time. In ”Old Halmstad’s” yearbook 2000 I could read that ”the old” railway bridge was reconstructed 1928 to how it looks today. 1836 to 1928 was this a framework bridge with two sections. this must be the bridge I was looking for. See the pictures to the right.
The present, ”half old”, railway bridge is today for walking och bicycles and can be seen behind the Wrangel bridge.
